Your training was mostly inward. When Ilyena (the druid – agent) took you to a fortified town, your eyes teared with fear, but that was long ago. Sometimes at night, you would have nightmares of the angels in battle, the stare of the fallen angel and his grip on your body. Even though, his initial touch was calming, reliving the experience filled you with the deepest terror.

You thought your life saved when you met your wife, followed by three blessings. The dreams vanished and you felt you could finally move on. Your visits with Sel’farel came less frequent. Even though he was your dearest friend, every time you saw him the nightmares returned. With each meeting, you feared the sound of his voice and the coming of the dreams.

Your study of the sky came easily, it seemed like the sky would speak to you. Your long nights staring upward caused fights with your wife, at times your children would run away as your temper exploded. You knew something to be wrong, but couldn’t place it, not until It fell.

A meteorite stuck down near the town, people ran and fires spread. You heard your wife screaming but found yourself tucked under the bed, frozen in fear as you relive that terrible night so long ago. The screams of your family melded into the screams of your parents and grandparents. Overwhelmed, you fell unconscious.

It was days later when you woke, isolated from the people. When you came from your hut, people kept their distance from you, whispering ungodliness and pacts with dark beings. Something was following you, but you could never see it. When alone, you always felt a presence, but couldn’t find it. A whisper in your ear, a cold wind… haunted is what the elders said.

Your wife moved to a neighbors hut, she feared infection. You feared infidelity, payback for past indiscretions. Your fears came to reality. Your name was shamed, elders hinted at banishment.

In a meeting with Sel’farel, it all came clear. That night long ago, when the angel grabbed you, he left something, a lingering presence. You tell all of this to Sel’farel, something needs to be done. You are not sure, but you feel the bodies of the angels are restless. There were 5 and we need to find them. We need to locate these bodies and lay them to rest.

To do this, we need help and I know exactly the place to go… a slaver’s ranch.
